I live in the home suspended on the sound of the wind
I live in the home suspended on the sound of the wind
Environmental Textile installation, Bamboo, Tree, wooden house, recycled white nautical ropes.
Date
2012
Location
Geumgang Nature Art Biennale, Nature, Human Being and Sound, Gongju, South Korea
The installation presents a fictional city of wind chimes suspended between the sky and the Earth, free from noises and traffic. The wind gently cradles the town to its movement, life and voices. Wind chimes are idiophones; since the dawn of humanity, they have been used to send signals, perform rituals and magic, and protect their bearers. These instruments bring precious moments of relaxation and love. The ropes interwoven in space link possible destinies and stories floating in the mystery of time. People can thus see themselves running on these ropes between one life and the other, like tiny inhabitants of a suspended world.
