Textrinum temporis - Stone Memories in Bovino

Textrinum Temporis began as a silent and respectful listening to the land and history of Bovino. The work weaves together stones gathered in the Bovino area, shaped by ancient sedimentary processes, evoking the geological history of the local landscape, where Pliocene conglomerates emerge — witnesses of marine-coastal environments from over three million years ago.
The value of the work lies in offering a new perspective on a daily, mundane material — one perhaps even taken for granted.
The stones of Bovino, often encountered absentmindedly, have become protagonists: pebbles that tell millennia-old geological stories, transforming into a carpet, a weave, and a map of a time that extends beyond our earthly existence.
In this work, I chose to be guided by the material: my gesture was not to shape, but to collaborate with what already existed, tuning in to its rhythm.
Every hole, every pattern, every dust revealed by the drill was an encounter with a depth that is not only physical, but also symbolic.
